How are Channel Letters made?
Channel Letters start with a good graphics file which is adapted for our CAD software to bend aluminum coil and cut faces and backs using our channel benders, CNC Routers and laser. Our skilled assembly team crimps backers to the coil, applies trim-cap to the faces, installs LED modules and power supplies and may send them for paint before the faces are attached to the assembly. Raceways are assembled, painted and wired if needed and letters are then mounted to the raceways before we conduct our UL inspections. Then we crate them up to ship to your location. Save money by using stock colors of aluminum coil and trim cap. Ask your Hanson Account Executive for stock color options.

Are Channel Letters and Illuminated Signs the Same?
Channel letters signage and illuminated signs are closely related but not exactly the same. Channel letters signage refers specifically to signs made up of individual letters or shapes that are typically illuminated from within. Illuminated signs, on the other hand, encompass a broader category of signs that includes channel letters as well as other types of signs that are illuminated, such as lightboxes and cabinet signs. In essence, all channel letter signs are illuminated signs, but not all illuminated signs are channel letter signs.
