Our processes and equipment
Biscuits - Each of our wooden signs is glued together in-house.
We use the finest industrial adhesive and biscuits to provide added strength, as well as to
prevent any bowing, cracking or warping. In between every plank we insert wooden
biscuits every 12" apart. It's the things you don't see that make
our signs the finest produced in the country.
CAD-CAM table - Our computerized (CAD-CAM) router tables (6'x10' and 4'x4') are
used to router cut exact shapes, cut out letters and logos, and carve "V-groove"
lettering and logos in our signs (using our 3-D software).
Cutting by CAD-CAM ensures that each sign is exactly to size, shapes are perfectly
cut, and multiple signs are exact replicas.
Sanding - Every wooden sign is sanded smooth and level using our large, 53"
automated sanding unit. Once the planks are glued together, there could be some variation
in the wood level. To ensure that your sign is perfectly flat and square, this sanding unit
smooths the surface to a perfect level and to a 120 grit finish. In addition, a perfectly
smooth face of consistent depth ensures that "V-groove" cuts by the CAD-CAM unit
have accurate stroke widths and depths. This is a case where machinery and technology are
combined with craftsmanship to yield the finest quality signage throughout the United States.
Painting - Our talented and experienced staff hand paint all the final
detail, lettering and borders as called for in your specifications. Their hand
crafted care and talent ensures your sign meets your specifications
every time.
